In this class we will follow Warren Gates as he enters college and begins making personal finance decisions. At each stage of his life and the life of his family we will examine the important financial decisions that Mr. Gates must make. We will look at the benefits of correct decisions and the costs of bad decisions. For example we will examine decisions concerning student loans, credit card debt, mortgages, savings vehicles, investment opportunities, tax issues, and starting a small business. Once Mr. Gates has children and aging parents the decisions will become more complicated.
